Audi electric cars
A German premium marque under Volkswagen Group ownership, building out a MEB-platform electric SUV range from the entry Q4 e-tron to the flagship e-tron GT performance sedan.
Audi was founded in 1909 as Audi Automobilwerke GmbH in Zwickau; the modern Audi AG dates to the 1969 merger of Auto Union and NSU under Volkswagen ownership, headquartered in Ingolstadt. Audi Australia operated as a standalone national distributor before merging into Volkswagen Group Australia on 1 January 2022.
Audi's first production BEV, the e-tron quattro SUV, launched in Australia in September 2020 (online orders opened June 2020) priced from $137,700 (e-tron 50) to $159,600 (55 First Edition) plus on-road costs. The range has since expanded with the smaller, more affordable MEB-platform Q4 e-tron (Australian launch in late 2024, SUV and Sportback body styles, up to 540km WLTP range, 175kW DC) and the e-tron GT performance sedan.
premium performance
Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron (compact SUV/Sportback, Audi's most affordable EV), Q8 e-tron (formerly badged e-tron, mid-size SUV) and the e-tron GT performance sedan are sold in Australia.
