Zeekr electric cars

A premium, EV-only Chinese marque under Geely, positioning itself as "the first premium Chinese EV brand in Australia" with a factory-direct national sales company rather than a traditional distributor.

Zeekr was founded in March 2021 as Geely Auto's premium battery-electric marque; Geely increased its equity stake in Zeekr to 62.8% in November 2024. Zeekr entered the Australian market in October 2024, one of only three markets worldwide (alongside Thailand and Mexico) where it operates its own national sales company rather than a third-party distributor.

Zeekr's Australian range launched with the Zeekr X small SUV and has grown to include the 7X mid-size SUV and 009 electric people-mover. The 7X SUV reportedly reached roughly 3,000 Australian sales within its first year on sale. Zeekr has flagged plans to roughly triple its Australian line-up over the following 12 months, including a plug-in hybrid flagship SUV and an electric wagon.
